Hyaluronic Acid is a substance that is naturally present in your body, playing a critical role in the firmness of your skin and the shape of your features.
Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers are a synthetic form of HA that closely mimic your body’s own natural HA. We carefully inject small doses of filler into precise locations in order to restore volume loss, redefine and contour areas of the face, smooth lines and wrinkles and much more. If needed, Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers can be reversed using an antidote called Hyaluronidase. Our treatment goal is to help you look more rejuvenated using a conservative less is more approach. We offer a broad range of fillers including Restylane, Belotero and Radiesse which we select based on your unique goals and needs. Dermal fillers typically last between 6 and 18 months, routine ‘maintenance’ treatments are recommended to replenish metabolized product and prolong your results.
Before any injectable, laser or surgical appointment here at Baker Rejuvenation Centre, we request that you discontinue the use of aspirin, ibuprofen, multivitamins, omega supplements and alcohol for 3 days before treatment to reduce the risk of swelling and bruising. Please check with your Physician before discontinuing use of any blood thinners. Only receive treatments when you are feeling well. Please keep the injected areas clean and wait at least 1 hour before applying makeup – mineral based makeup is recommended. It is normal that you experience mild-moderate bruising and swelling to the treated area(s) during the first few days after treatment.
You will notice the effects of your filler treatment immediately, with final result present once all swelling has subsided - usually within two weeks. You can enjoy the effects of your new filler for the next 6 –18 months depending on the area treated and product selected. We will see you in clinic for a follow up two weeks after to assess your results. At this time we recommend scheduling a routine maintenance treatment to replenish products that has metabolized overtime.
