At the Baker Rejuvenation Centre, we only use Hyaluronic Acid fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm, and Perlane. Hyaluronic Acid is a substance that is naturally present in your body, playing a critical role in the firmness of your skin and the shape of your features.
How It Works
To minimize discomfort, all of our fillers contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, and we use a very fine needle to inject the gel under the skin. Our treatment goal is to help you look more rejuvenated using a conservative “less is more” approach, whether we’re utilizing Juvederm, Restylane or Perlane. Dermal fillers last 6-18 months, and a ‘top up’ is recommended at 6 months to prolong the life of the product. Fillers are temporary, meaning that the body will metabolize the product after 6-18 months, and if necessary can be dissolved using Hyaluronidase.
For at least six hours after your treatment, we recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and extended exposure to the sun, heat, or freezing temperatures. You may experience some bruising and swelling for the first few days, but this will subside naturally. The latest research indicates that Arnica gel and tablets, taken once daily prior and up to 7 days post-procedure, help reduce swelling and the risk of bruising, which can occur with any of our Juvederm, Restylane or Perlane facial fillers.
You should see the effects of your filler treatment immediately, with final results present once all swelling has subsided, usually within two weeks. You can enjoy your improved look and exceptional results for 6-18 months. To provide the best results and aftercare, we will see you 2 weeks after for a follow-up appointment. You may also schedule touch-up visits before your filler is completely absorbed.
Whether we use Juvederm, Restylane or Perlane for your skin, all of our facial fillers create a more energetic and youthful appearance by providing a natural, conservative, and soft lift to your cheeks, corners of your mouth, and around your lips, reducing the appearance of the fine lines and wrinkles that develop as we age. Lip augmentation can help restore lost volume due to aging and help add more dimension and body. Dr. Baker and our Clinical Nurse Specialist strive to provide a gentle, natural, and conservative approach to facial rejuvenation using the most current and clinically effective treatment techniques.
